Remote Education

This page contains information about learning from home.

We have suitable plans for the provision of remote learning where needed and to ensure that the small number of children that need to be educated at home, for example, due to shielding or self-isolation, are given the support they need to continue learning.

Remote Learning is of a high quality and aligns as closely as possible with the in-school provision. On this page, you will find information about the Remote Learning procedures that are in place to ensure learning and feedback continues if the school has to close again for any reason.

If your child’s class is sent home or the whole school closes for any reason, our Microsoft Teams remote learning platform will be where you can access learning. Your class teacher will set daily activities and lessons linked to the themes covered in that week for as long as your child remains at home. There will be recorded teaching videos from a variety of government approved providers as well as other tasks linked to the curriculum. Feedback from your child’s class teacher will take place for the work your child completes and submits onto Teams or their ClassDojo portfolio.

Work Packs

The following packs can be accessed at any time during remote learning. They may be especially useful if your child's class has been asked to isolate suddenly. The class teacher may need time to organise 'teams' learning and so these packs can be accessed immediately.
