Computing

At Ranskill Primary Shool, we teach ICT and computing using up-to-date, quality hardware to enhance learning across all subject areas. Pupils are taught a relevant, challenging and enjoyable curriculum which fully meets the requirements of the National Curriculum programmes of study so that our pupils can use ICT and computing skillfully, independently and responsibly. Specific skills are taught in weekly lessons, following a carefully planned scheme to ensure progression and variety, and are then practised in other subject areas too. 

Children progress through Ranskill Primary School being able to adapt to new technology and aware of how to keep themselves safe online. They learn how to word process, create presentations and films and how to 'code' using a variety of software and hardware.
