Week Seven 18.05.20

Welcome to Week Seven!

This week we are exploring two texts by Julia Donaldson, she is an author all of you know.  We have our Julia Donaldson set of books in our classroom.  How many titles can you remember?

The first story is "What the Ladybird Heard."  There are a variety of links to the book below, ones where the book is read to your child or sung by the author.  The weekly planning ideas document gives you ideas that you may want to use each day or a menu of alternatives.  Have a good week.

What the Ladybird Heard (Julia Donaldson)

Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len are two crafty robbers with a cunning plan to steal the farmer's fine prize cow. But little do they know that the tiniest, quietest creature of all has overhead their plot, and she has a plan of her own.

For those children who are following the year one maths scheme here are the sheets linked to the video lessons and the flashback reinforcements from last term.

Superworm! by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler

Here is the story Superworm linked to the maths work for this week.

The children in Nursery explored worms a few weeks ago, if you click here you will find more worm stories and rhymes plus instructions on how to make your own wormery.
