Week Five 4.05.20

This week is a week of two halves.  First I decided it was time for a little giggle!  This cumulative and hysterical read-aloud story will bring a smile to your face as well as your child, as by the final pages you are trying to get your mouth around the words -  a spunky, hanky-panky, cranky, stinky, dinky, lanky, honky-tonky, winky wonky, donkey!  The book is of course the well known “A Wonkey Donkey”.  A story and a song about a three leg donkey.

As I am sure you are aware on Friday it is VE day.  Tackling the subject of war is always very tricky with young children.  However, I have put together some ideas that you may wish to do as a family.  These include family time lines, paper aeroplane competitions and a VE day party as well as some links to information.  Please view these first and then decide if this is something you wish to share with your child.

The White Rose Maths for this week continues on the theme of patterns and if you didn't join the live phonic lessons last week they are really good.

Have a good week and remember to message on dojo if you need anything.
