Week 9
English
This week in English we will be looking at the story 'Stuck' by Oliver Jeffers. It's one of my favourites so I hope that you like it too.
Floyd gets his kite stuck up a tree. He throws up his shoe to shift it, but that gets stuck too. So he throws up his other shoe and that gets stuck, along with… a ladder, a pot of paint, the kitchen sink, an orang-utan and a whale, amongst other things!

This week you might want to keep working on halves and quarters.
Year 2
Science
Where do some of your favourite foods come from? Look at the PowerPoint to find out and then complete the cut and stick activity or you could draw a picture of your favourite meal and label which parts come from an animal, which parts come from a plant.

Topic
There are 3 different types of farm - arable, livestock and dairy. This week I would like you to do some research on one of these types of farm and present it in any way you would like. It could be a PowerPoint, an information poster, a news report, or even something crafty. Be creative!
