Spring Term Home Learning Pack 2021
As you will be aware on Monday 4 January, the Prime Minister announced a national lockdown in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19, which has now come into effect. This central Government decision does not suggest that schools and colleges are no longer safe places for young people. Instead, limiting attendance is about reducing the number of contacts that all of us have with people in other households. The new restrictions mean our Nursery remains open and the main school will remain open only for the children of critical workers and vulnerable children to attend on site. All other pupils and students will receive remote education. I understand this will not be welcome news for many parents and carers but it is absolutely essential if we are to successfully protect the NHS and reduce the transmission of the virus.
School remains open to the children of workers who are critical to the COVID19 response and EU transition, who are unable to safely stay at home. The list of critical workers can be found here:
Each day there will be some time on live lessons. The morning session will start at 9.15 am using Microsoft teams. I would really like to thank parents for supervising their children when using Teams. It is really important that children do not access Teams when it is not an official class meeting so that we can keep everyone safe. We think this is a great way for children to keep in touch with their teacher and with school and we are really pleased to be able to offer this. Teams is optional – your child does not have to attend and they should only log on if you are able to supervise them. If you are unable to access teams all the work is explained below just click on the correct dated star for the start of that week.
I am still available for private messages on Dojo and completed work can be uploaded to Dojo.
Stay in touch and I hope you enjoy the home learning packs.
