Ranskill's Curriculum

Teaching and Learning at Ranskill is guided by the National Curriculum and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The children in EYFS and KS1 are taught phonics using the Jolly Phonics resources; the children in KS2 are taught reading with the support of the Accelerated Reader programme.

We teach the following subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, History, Geography, Art & Design, Design & Technology, Music, Religious Education and Physical Education. Children in KS2 learn French as part of Modern Foreign Languages.

We also teach the children to develop themselves in a personal sense by following SHINE Multi Academy Trust's framework for Citizenship and for Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education.
